Trouble syncing and asking for Fitbit to acess this devices location

Is anyone having trouble syncing their Charge HR fitbit with their android phone recently? I tried restarting the device and nothing. I tried uninstalling the fitbit app and reinstalling it and nothing except that made it worse. I tried to go to the app now and it asks Allow Fitbit to access this device's location. I press Allow then it brings me to a screen stating Screen overlay detected and to change this permission setting, you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings>Apps, so I press the Open Settings and it brings me to another screen titled Draw over other apps. It reads; Select apps to allow their buttons, pop-ups, or other elements to appear over other apps you are using. It then has a list from AntiVirus to TalkBack and they are all in the on position, but Fitbit is not listed. I tried turning them all off and nothing changed.

I greatly appreciate your help with this matter...

Sherry

A very warm welcome to the Fitbit Forums @SYRREHS!

In this case I'd like to try to restart the connection between your Fitbit and your mobile devices. Regularly that process helps your Fitbit to sync correctly.

In the meantime I'd like to ask you to please let me know what mobile device you are using.

Let me know how it goes! look forward to your reply so that I can determine the best way to proceed in case the steps I suggested do not work.
