I just got a new Samsung Galaxy S8+.  I use an Alta.  I cannot get the text/call notifications to stop.  I have tried shutting them off in the Galaxy apps and through the FitBit app. Please help

Hi there @mrsj953, good to see you here! I was reading you want to disable the feature of notifications on your Alta. The easy way is to turn off this option in your Android app, right in the Notification settings. But you already tried this with no effect, so lets try a workaround.

Before we go to the solution I think it will help, lets follow the normal procedure:

  • Access to your Fitbit app and go to your account tab.
  • Select your Alta tracker
  • Scroll down to Notifications
  • Tap in the three vertical dots from the right upper corner of your screen
  • From the menu select Disable Notifications.

Now try if the notifications are Off now, if not try to unpair your tracker from your mobile device (Not your Fitbit app). You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
