Hi I just got a Fitbit Inspire 3 and am trying to connect to health connect, however it constantly says I refused permissions and when I try to allow

Seems like you rejected Health Connect permissions before. To turn them back on go to the app permissions and allow Fitbit Access >>

Open Settings

Not allowed access only listed is Fitbit, so I tap on Fitbit >>then Set up>>I agree and it takes me back to

I'm having the same issue too. This is a software issue, not an issue with people not understanding the process. The troubleshooting doesn't help.

When I go into health connect it says "not allowed access : fit bit", I click on it and it opens the fitbit app, I setup the health connect and it says "fitbit is now synced with health connect". However it still shows not allowed access and doesn't share the info after.

Deleted apps, restarted and updated phone, factory reset the device incase it glitched during data transfer and none of it fixed my issue. I'm 99% sure this is a software bug, before you link me to the same troubleshooting guide lol

so, i've tried the guide and there's no "allow all" button for me to press

Hi, @Dan.n May I suggest you take a look via your Android Phone settings, Security & Privacy>Privacy>Health connect>App permissions>Fitbit>Allow all should be present in a blue tile, set the slider to "on". I use MyFitnessPal & Withings so those apps are also present, similar settings can be made for each app. Return to - Android Phone settings, Security & Privacy>Privacy>Health connect>MANAGE DATA>Data Sources & Priority> On the right side of your display you see "=" these are "handles" that allow you to Pick the order of priority.

Review these articles from the Android Community Health Connect app - Android Help to get a feel for Health Connect.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

I have the same problem with the Fitbit app (signed in with a Google account after merging my Fitbit account).

The Fitbit app simply never gets to the point of letting you allow the permissions to connect with Health Connect and it just goes round in circles saying that it needs to be done.

Google Fit connects with Health Connect no problem and opens up the permissions as intended, it's a simple process, but Fitbit just doesn't work and so can't sync any data across.

No change here, still the same endless loop.

Maybe there is an update rolling out?

My Fitbit app is currently on v4.19
