Hi All.

I dont know if you will be able to help me or not. I deleted the fitbit app from my Samsung J3 phone, I then went onto google play store and found the app. I tried to download it but it wont download as it says its already installed, I know it isnt because I removed it from my phone. I have tried about 6 times now and I am really getting fed up, is there anywhere else i can download it from.

Thank You

Hello @Tankie1rtr, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

I appreciate the information that was shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this matter prior to posting too.  Seems odd that you're receiving such error while trying to install the Fitbit app on your Samsung Galaxy J3. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps:

  1. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. Try reinstalling the Fitbit app again.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi Ricardo.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried rebooting both phone & fitbit, It will connect to my pc ok and so will the phone, so i can sync the fitbit piece no problem from my laptop, BUT if i try to sync from the phone it says 'Device Cannot Be Found' no matter how many time i try it. also last night a friend text me and the fitbit buzzed and shoed that i had a text, it also buzzed when my wife test phoned me, but it only did it once then it hasnt done it again, no matter how many texts or phone calls i receive. ??? so its all a bit of a mystery, i was thinking maybe I need a new fitbit, this one is about 4 yrs old. its the first fitbit Alta.

Hi Ricardo.

I am even more confused now. Yesterday the phone connected for a little while and the fitbit received a Text and buzzed, then i tried it with a phone call and it buzzed, my wife later turned the phone off before she went to bed, today the phone will not connect, I open the Bluetooth on my phone and search for my fitbit but it cannot find it. can you please tell me if the Samsung Galaxy J3 is compatible now with the fitbit Alpha, I notice people have been asking you this question since 2016 is there any forward movemnet on this by your tech department.

Thank You.
