I have not been able to log into the app all day and it keeps telling me that my password is incorrect. I don't want to lose the progress that I have made for the day. Help!

Have you checked with your saved passwords on the web browser? As for your data, you have 30 days to sync.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Just as @Rich_Laue shared with you, Fitbit devices can store daily totals for up to 30 days so you'll not lose the progress that you've made during the day. If you're having difficulties with the login process, you can reset the password of your account following the steps that are described on our help article: How do I change or reset my Fitbit password?
