Unable to recieve messages and calls on my Alta compatiblilty with Samsung S8 Active cell phone, is this going to be resolved. Unable to use the steps for the S8+. My old phone was a S5 Active and it worked fine.

Hi there @Luckigurl1, it is nice to see you here as a new member of the Fitbit Community! Note that the Samsung S8 Active still is not listed as compatible in our list of supported devices. The difference with devices that are not compatible is that we cannot guarantee all the features will be supported or it won;t work as is expected. In other words the functionality may vary as it happened with your S5 Active.
If you are not receiving call or text notifications it wouldn't hurt to try the following suggestions: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).
