Unable to recieve text messages on LG G6

I just traded in my charge 3 for the new versa 2 because my charge wasn't getting notifications. Turns out it's something else, because my versa 2 can recieve all notifications EXCEPT ones from Snapchat and text messaging. I've looked into forums and I've seen that the iOS 13 has cause this problem, but I don't have an iPhone. Is this a problem across the app? Or something I can resolve? I've tried previewing messages on my screen and it worked with FB messenger, but not with my texts still. Any advice?

So I've been looking into a way around my default messaging app not working, and this is what I found!

-  Download the app Textra

- Make it default messaging app on phone.

- Make sure it's also default in Fitbit app as well.

- open textra app and click on three dots in upper right corner

- go into "settings"

- click on "customize notifications"

- click on "define notification actions"

- scroll down to Android heads up button

- make button one "mark as Read"

- make button two "Android inline reply"

- make button three "delete"

- make sure the Textra buttons all say "nothing" (it's the default setting so just don't touch them)

Tada!

This will work until Fitbit fixes their buggy update 😁
