Unable to set up Mobiletrack on my Galaxy S8

The fitbit app version 2.62 update says that it added MobileTrack support for the Galaxy S8. However, that option doesn't show up when I go to "add a new device." Am I just looking in the wrong place or is there something else going on?

Hello @Anseld1986, let me give you a warm welcome to our FItbit Community! Yes you are correct, the new version of the app integrate the functionality of MobileTrack with Pixel, Pixel XL and Samsung Galaxy S8.

Perhaps you need to restart the app for the new version changes can be apply to your app. So depending if the issue persists try the following:

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again to enable this option. (Just make sure to update the app, since there is a new one under version number 2.62.1)

See you later and hope this helps.

I verified that I'm updated to 2.62.1, logged out, force stopped, cleared the cache and all data and then restarted the phone. Unfortunately, all I get is the list of trackers - no MobileTrack option.

Any other ideas?

The 2.63 upgrade isn't available in the Google Play Store for me to upgrade to. I have version 2.62.1 of the Fitbit app.

Hi there @raebowbrite, thank you for keep me posted you are not able to find the new version. Rest assure this will be roll out gradually for all users can install the new version. So if you are not able to see a new version give it a day or two for its availability in Google Play.

In addition to your concern, I have received new details about this issue that I would like to share with all of you who are not able to set up the MobileTrack feature on the Galaxy S8.

At the moment this feature is only working on international variants of this mobile phone. We are working to investigate the source of this and in a future release will bring it to american variants.

I will let you know if I got more updates. See you later fellows.
