Unable to sync, removed Charge 3 from Galaxy S8, now unable to pair

EXTREMELY frustrated here! I have tried everything suggested on every place in the community and online that I could find. 

 

Right now, my Charge 3 (which is about a month old) is about to go straight back to the store if this is not resolved soon.

 

My Charge 3 was working just fine, until it suddenly stopped syncing about 7 days ago out of the blue. I noticed this when the time was completely wrong. Tried to sync for about 3 days. No luck. I tried everything suggested. Restarted phone and Fitbit app about 20 times each. Restarted Charge 3. Removed my car Bluetooth from the phone (only other one on there besides FB). Removed Charge 3. Then, unable to REpair since.

 

I have tried adding to my phone with charger plugged into 2 different laptops, with charger plugged into charging station, tried to pair with my phone on the fitbit app, tried to pair on the fitbit website, and on windows (which I used to do with my charge 2, but not available for charge 3, which apparently can only be paired with a mobile device). 

 

I have been wanting to change to an iPhone and Apple watch for years now. This just may be the motivation I need. 

 

Can ANYONE out there please help me? Customer service? Otherwise, this piece of crap is going right back to Kohl's.

Have you tried with a 2.x version of the Fitbit app ?

Thank you for the suggestion. The only app I see at the Google Play store
is the 3.7 version. Where does one don't the 2.x version?
