Unable to sync with Samsung S10

I have an Alta HR that used to work fine with my old phone (Huawei P10+) but since upgrading to a samsung S10+5G it has been flakey currently on the app on my phone i am getting a red exclamation point against the Sync Now bar on the phone app, Connect to my PC and it works fine (although i have to add a BT dongle to make it visible, The Samsung can see the Alta in the BT section but will not pair, I have tried rebooting phone, rebooting alta HR as well as other tricks like airplane mode then out again, each time it refuses to sync with the S10+ (running latest updates) I even turned off the Galaxy watch BT connection to see if that was in the way.

 

Help? Is there an issue with the alta? is it just Samsung likes to be different?

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Samsung S10 mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
