Understanding Calories In vs Out

So I've done some considerable searching about understand the calories in vs out. However there is something still bugging me. Right now at 4pm, the app summary for today is telling me that I had 2310 calories in, and 350 calories over. When I click on the little green apple icon, it tells me Today- Over Budget. 2310 cals in 1656 cals out. 993 cals over budget. So what I don't get is why I have two different calorie amount for over. Can someone help me out with that?

I would post pics, but I can't seem to be able to insert any screen shots (If someone can advise me on how to do that too, I'd be happy)

Thanks!

Hi @BlueFury

I read somewhere yesterday (I’ll link it if I find it) that Fitbit uses your current progress to measure where you’ll be at come midnight. I don’t know all about food plans (since I don’t use one), but I hope this helps.

Oh, and regarding posting screenshots, there should be a little button to add photos.
