Update Software message fitbit won't sync

I have an Android and I get the message that says update software and the spinning wheel under my fitbit when I try to sync. Help! Someone said you needed to fix the resoultion on your phone ,but not sure how to do that.

@knewme Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Probably you need to update the Fitbit app on your Android. You will find the instructions on that link that will show you how to do it for it to work perfectly.

Hey there - I also updated my app and my fitbit flex won't sync. I've rebooted the phone, ensured bluetooth is on and that I'm not in Power Save mode... all the troubleshooting steps have been taken. Any idea what I ought to do?
