Versa 2 and it is stuck on a red battery with an exclamation point

I have have a Versa 2 and it is stuck on a red battery with an exclamation point and will not do nothing else. I have tried charging the watch but it would only show red battery image with exclamation mark.

I have cleaned the contacts on both watch & charger but nothing has helped!

Anyone experienced this and what did you do?

Try restarting your Versa 2. That might help resolve the problem. Just press in and hold the button down on the side of your Versa 2 until you see the Fitbit Logo then release the button. You should feel the Versa 2 vibrate letting you know that the restart is completed. 

If restarting doesn’t help, it’s okay to try the restart procedure a few times to get it corrected. I’d try at least 2-3 more times. After you successfully (🤞) restart your Versa 2 put it in its charger to charge it completely.

 

Usually the symbol you saw initially on the screen happens if you wait too long to charge it and the battery gets depleted or that an error occurred while trying to update the firmware on your Versa 2. So it’s important to put it back on the charger just in case it was a firmware update. Doing so will assist the update of firmware to resume and complete.

Dear MegaBite,

My Versa 2 has been on the charging overnight and nothing happened. When I hold the button down on the side of my Versa 2 the Fitbit logo does not pop up. I will try again. Keep my fingers crossed.
