I have a Galaxy S10+, yesterday everything was working fine. Today I am getting no notifications and when I hold the side button on my Versa 2 it says I need to connect/pair phone. It syncs steps fine. It does not send any text/phone notifications.
On my phone it shows the devices are paired. I have reset both my phone and Versa. I have checked all permissions. I am getting extremely frustrated. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

Have you turned of power management for the Fitbit App?
My Versa 2 shows connected during a notification or with connected gps. It normally only shows as a paired trusted device.
I've never heard of the Versa 2 asking to connect to the phone. Probably because it is the Alexa app complaining. Usually it is the Fitbit app requesting a connection.
Try logging out/in on the Fitbit app. This usually prompts me to connect the tracker and I tap on the prompt.
