Versa 2 sets up perfectly with iOS and iPhone 8 - won't discover at all on Android on Samsung S10.

My wife has upgraded to a Versa 3 and given me her old Versa 2. I was unable to discover it on my Samsung S10 to set it up. I tried lots of things, nothing worked. The Versa 2 would intermittently show in Bluetooth settings, but the app could never find it.

We tried to add it back to my wife's Huawei P30 Pro - and now that would not discover it, even though it was paired with it until a few days ago.

I then tried my old iPhone 8. Everything worked perfectly. 

It appears that the Android app is broken. Would appreciate a solution.

@overscan Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the detailed information shared. Glad to hear that you and your wife are using Fitbit devices. 

 

I appreciate the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. I'd like you to confirm that your Fitbit app is running in the background in your Samsung S10, also check out the tips that you should know when using the Fitbit app on your Android phone. 

 

Now that your Versa 2 is set up to your phone, all you need to do is have it nearby with Bluetooth on and location, with this your watch will automatically sync to your app. Can you let me know if you're getting any error message when trying to sync?
