Versa lite won't stay paired with versa lite

I can't find a reason why I can't keep the versa lite connected to my Bluetooth on Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Versa Classic will connect for about 3 minutes, then drops connection.

Versa lite says it is paired but not connected.

Do I have too connect classic everyone I want to listen to music? And how can I keep it paired?

Hello @SunsetRunner. on the Fitbit App - Versa settings. So you have all ways connected, enabled? If not then yes your tracker could disconnect. This is fine for syncing and notifications, but may cause a problem with the connected GPS.

Yes, Always is selected


And Bluetooth sees both lite and classic.

I can connect to classic for 2 or three minutes before the Bluetooth is dropped.

Bluetooth Classic is only used for controlling music or video on the phone. Versa Classic is not used for syncing. 

Versa Lite should show up as a trusted device, but not necessary to have it connected, unless notifications are running.

Thank you for continuing to reply. I have set notifications for email, text, calendar and phone.Does this mean if there is an incoming notification that Versa Lite Bluetooth auto connects?Currently I can see Versa Lite in my Bluetooth list but if I select nothing happens.
Excuse this second question but so great to connect with someone who has answers.

I have selected Gmail as my default and Message as my default. I have also verified notifications in app and phone. (I toggled and turned phone off and on several times to try to connect)What is happening is my Outlook work account is sending email to my phone as is Google voice. This is great as these are my work connections. How do I get my default Gmail and message accounts to connect.Hopefully the defaults will allow replying as the Outlook and voice notifications do not.Ideas?
