Versa not notifying me of text messages

I have a Versa (not Versa 2) and when I first got it, I was able to configure it to notify me when I get a text message on my phone and also notify me when I have a phone call coming in.

I'm still getting the phone call notifications, but for some time now I no longer get any notifications for text messages.  I've been online and tried everything I could find to get it reconfigured, but to no avail.  I've spent hours and hours, and I'm out of luck.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know what troubleshooting steps you have tried. In the meantime, please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After trying this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.
