Versa often 10-30 seconds behind, even though it's syncing

I suspect that Fitbit has at least one server that's running behind. My Versa mostly has the correct time, even when it doesn't sync for a while. Then, every now and again, I will check and it's 10-30 seconds behind. I check my web dashboard and it says it synced very recently, sometimes less than 5 minutes previously. Opening the app on my phone and forcing a sync always solves the problem.

 

I would think that the time just wasn't syncing as it should, but as I said, the Versa surprised me when I turned off Always Connected and All Day Sync by keeping pretty good time. Also, the time on my phone is always correct, so it's not getting the incorrect time from my phone.

 

My conclusion is that the time is syncing to an incorrect time on some server somewhere.
