Walking being recognised as a run

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to FitBit and have had my Alta for only a week.

I've been using the FiyBit app. to track my daily exercise walks. Yesterday my walk was recognised as a Run so I switched off the auto recognise for run (and some of the other things I don't do) but my walk today was also recognised as a Run. This doesn't worry me in particular, but I would love to know why the app. is still auto recognising my walk as a run.

Any ideas?

I believe I've answered my own question.

In the tracking feature the option was set to 'Run' which was over riding the auto select feature (I think 😉 )

Wonderful troubleshooting Lesley

Since mentioning tracking walking with the app, have moved this thread from the Alta to the Android app section as it gets more attention here.
