Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

I was told by Google customer service that when I migrated to Google acct, I did not indicate to migrate all my historical data which is not a true statement. I explained that all my data were available after the migration and only disappeared a month ago

Anybody has same situation ?

...After discussing with Google customer service via chat.. they were able to restore mine back to 2016.. but I am still missing data from 2012 to 2016

... Update as of Dec8

Google customer service was able to restore my data back to 2016 onwards. However I am still missing data from 2012 to 2015. They claimed that I did not select to migrate all my historical data when I migrated to Google account which is not true.

Anybody here has same issue?

Hi everyone, and thanks for your continued reports.

As I mentioned before, this issue with the weight history not appearing on the Fitbit app was already forwarded to our team for further investigation. To keep them informed of the impact to all our members, I'd need you to provide me with the following information:

Issue is that historical data prior to 2014 missing. I've been tracking on Fitbit since February 2012.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Android 14.

I can no longer see my data going back to 2015. I've attached 2 screenshots...the one of what I can see now, and one of what I used to be able to see.

It seems that Fitbit have not only lost the data, but are reducing it to one data point for each year!... without warning.

I also just received a "medal" for being a member for 7 years, whereas I've been using Fitbit and the app since 2015.

as you can see there is no trend line, no weight from 2016, only 4 points showing in "all time" ie one data point per year that i recorded data. Yearly data only shows 1 data point per month. It's just horrid

Mine is missing historical data prior to 2016. I've been tracking since 2012.

My account is missing all of my weight logs from 2024 except August and December. I believe I have all logs from other years starting in 2016 or at least have some of the logs. Using a Samsung S23 Ultra Android version 14.

I have been tracking my weight since 2015. This morning I noticed that there was no data before 2023. I then found this forum and thought I should add too it.  I went back to take a screen shot and found that 2022 was now included, so I have the last 3 years, but nothing before.

I have a Galaxy A14 and I'm using android 14.

The data is nithet shown on the graph on in the table below.

Thank you in advance for fixing this problem.

My data is all gone too. The latest update has fixed the food tracking issue but not weight so I can't see my historical data, weight to target and it's forcing me to log in lbs when my preferred units are stones

I got home from a 2 month trip to the U.S. and found my entire 10 years history gone after stepping on the scale to reference my weight.

Could my profile have been recreated in a U.S. database based on my geolocation?

None of the trouble shooting steps have solved this issue for me. I have been logging since 2013 and my data only shows back to October 2023. It looks like this hasn't been updated in almost two weeks. Still no fix?

Any fix? My data from 2014 through now was available until last update (even after my Google migration, now it's gone)

Screenshot_20241218_074715_Gallery.jpg

Only shows when I go to manage data (settings in the normal weight chart), then when I click review data it brings up all my data. The normal app view only goes back to 2023. (Proves the data is there, just the app isn't working correctly)

Mine does not show all my information like yours does. When I go to all data, all that shows for mine is back to 2023 when it should show back to 2013.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was misunderstanding what I needed to do. I can now also see all my weight data by going to manage data>review data. NOT IDEAL please fix. Thanks!

I just updated to version 4.32 and there are still serious issues with the Weight logging and reporting. Most have already been mentioned earlier in this thread. Just to summarize:

Issue #1: When I select view All Time, it says "Since Dec 29, 2022". But I've logged weight in Fitbit for at least 8 years. Thankfully, I know that the data is still there because I see it all when I navigate to Weight -> Manage Data -> Review Your Data from the Weight screen.

Issue #2: The 3 Months, Year and All time views seem to just show averages, not all of the daily data points. Again, this all looks fine on the Manage Data view.

Issue #3: Logging weight no longer defaults to the previous weight that was entered. You now need to enter it into a blank field. Minor inconvenience, but it's annoying.

I'm running Android 15 on a Pixel 9 Pro XL. Many thanks to the Fitbit moderators for continuing to keep us posted on the status of these issues.

Yes - same problem!!!  Really annoyed by this - I want my weight records for May 2021 to present. I need to pull this up “easily.” Instead now it gives me a starting weight in 2021, then skips to 2024.

All I want is my weigh ins day by day.

(i stopped using this app for anything else. I use Fitness Pal free version. Happier.

( i found using Fit Bit for measuring anything was not very accurate. And I was having a medical reaction to wearing a Fit Bit watch. By discontinuing wearing the watch, I was able to 1)!drop blood pressure, 2) and after that got off bupropion because my anxiety was completely gone after stopping it and has remained gone.  Maybe my body just doesn’t like that strobe light constantly checking me. It affects me like any external strobe light.)

I would like to add my dismay/frustration/anger at losing weight data back more than 15 years.  (I have been a fitbit member since 2013 and manually added previous historical weight data.)  It never occurred to me that I might lose all of this.  I downloaded the Archive of Google data, a 368 MB zip file, but could find no weight related data.  Please get this fixed!  (I am on a Google Pixel 7a phone, updated, connected to the Google Pixel Watch 3, updated.  The Google Fit app doesn't show weight history either.)

Same here. In the review data section it's great as I still have the much used darker trend line, but it no longer has current data so stops at November. Nothing has been improved by this change but so so much has been lost - mostly customer satisfaction.

I had data back to 2012 and reviewed my weight tracking daily and found the trends great for flattening out day to day changes. It's useless now. No reason to stay with Fitbit for me.

I also downloaded all of my Fitbit data and none of the weight information was included - not even the 2 months that actually show up. I was hoping for all the data back to 2013 but it wasn't there. Very frustrating!
