Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

Thanks for this suggestion, @AndreaFitbit!  As with some others, I found that it partially helped.  Instead of having no data before 2023, now I have no data before 2021 (although in my Google account there really is data from several earlier years).  And the 2021 data does not show up on the "All time" tab: that has only 2022 through 2025.

I'd like to echo @JayBob's comments, too.

  1. It's a huge bummer that it shows only averages, instead of all individual data points.  The richer display from previous versions was much more informative.
  2. It's also frustrating that FitBit switched from "X" meaning "Last X" to "X-to-date".  It feels very silly that every time a new month starts, I just see one or two data points, with no context visible from the recent past.

I know these are a different category --- product decisions, rather than outright bugs --- but I'd love to see them be addressed as well.

Didn't work. I've been using fitbit and recording weight since 2012 and the
data in the app only reflects 2014 onwards. Missing 2012 and 2013.

Yes, very much still a problem. My Fitbit app is only showing data from this year on the graph, and from 2022 on the table of data. The site that someone mentioned earlier (trendweight) thankfully shows my historical data, which does back to 2015.

My data is also missing. It should go back to 2015 but it's only showing since October 2023. How do I get it back?

Hi Andrea Fitbit

Still no progress on showing historical data.  The graphs are as useless as reported compared to what we used to get.  I tried to download my data using means suggested by others, and it went further back in history, but with chunks of 2-3 months missing sporadically.

I have found that if I keep scrolling back through 3 months charts, most of the data seems to be presented.

The best solution seems to be as suggested by Tom chambers to use Trend weight, which seems to be able to gather all my history data going back to 2016, and present it in a useful format.  I have still to see if that allows me to dump Fitbit in favour of some other smart watch with more reliable service.
