Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

I completely understand the frustration, I had over eight years of weight data logged through my Fitbit, and a big part of the motivation for me was seeing those long-term trends. When the update rolled out, I noticed the same issue where anything beyond the past couple of years seemed to vanish from the app view.

From what I’ve gathered, the data may still be stored in your account, but the new interface isn’t pulling the older entries properly. A workaround I tried was exporting my full data set through Fitbit’s data export tool and then using a third-party tracker to view the trends. One option I’ve found useful is Aspedan, which lets you upload historical data and then visualise it in a way that still shows the full picture over time. You can check it out on their website, it’s not a direct fix within Fitbit, but it helped me preserve and see my complete history without gaps.

Hopefully Fitbit pushes an update soon to restore this in-app, but until then, exporting your data and using a visualisation tool is the best way I’ve found to keep all those years of progress visible.

For the love of God someone from Google / Fitbit answer these incredibly dated inquiries.

I need access to my data.

Is there any update on this? I've had two pregnancies and gained about 50 or 60 lbs with each and then lost it all while tracking with Fitbit. Those data means a lot to me. I'm really hoping there is some way to restore them.

More than one year after your claimed "escalation", the Android App still shows my weight data only to 2020 a.d.

Sorry, if all the bugs there are now won't be fixed, this will be my last Google or Fitbit device. It keeps getting worse since your acquisition of Fitbit. I am already evaluating other apps. A real pity.

I'm also experiencing this issue & I've been a Fitbit subscriber since 2014/2015... no fixes yet I see & the community portal does not allow me to reset password with my yahoo account to see if I can find history in there... any other work arounds??

Hi, has this issue been resolved? I want to access my weight data for the last 10 years and have nothing before 2 years ago. We should have gotten an opportunity to download our data before it was deleted if that's the case but I'm hoping there's a way to get it back?? Please advise.

This is still unresolved....I raised it 2 years ago.  The good news is that data is all there, just Fitbit doesn't access it, and the graphics have been dumbed down to single points for each year.

The best resolution is to forget the very poor, slow and random presentation of data in Fitbit, and use trendweight.com.

Trendweight.com accesses all your weight history, and presents much better, detailed graphics, instantly...and it's free!

By the way, it's not my app...I am just a user of Trendweight.Trendweight BG.png

Thanks for the tip! Where can the data be accessed?

Just set up an account at Trendweight.com, and link to your Fitbit account.  It will download, and continuously update the data.

Thank you! I can finally see my weight data again. Crazy that trendweight.com can show it, but fitbit won't.

All - I just found this thread because I logged in this morning and found out that my data was missing prior to 2024.  I ended up uninstalling the Fitbit app and re-installing it, and almost all my data came back (for some reason 2013 and 2015 are not??? i know the data is there per Google Takeout).

Be warned it takes some time for all the years to populate, but it just let it do its thing.

I cleared cache, deleted storage, and removed the app. I reinstalled the
app. My data was still missing. Made no difference.

No. Personally, I re-installed the Fitbit App after clearing cache, it only has become worse.

Google obviously does not care. The old statistics and the Web App (which Google killed) was always a reason for me to re-buy Fitbit/Google gadgets. As this reason no longer exists, I have arguably no longer a reason to buy Google products again.

The app has also some other issues which ruin it for me and which are not cared upon by Google, too.
