Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,I still have the same issue I joined fitbit since 2015 and all my data prior 2023 Dec 17 is gone. Can you please let us know when this issue will be fixed? Seems no progress has been made yet.

I only have weight data since Feb. 2025, instead of all the way back to December 2014. That's a decade missing.

I only have weight data from 10 July 2024, everything back to 2012 is missing. I've already switched to Garmin but want to review my data in the app and can't. Very frustrating.

I completely understand the frustration, I had over eight years of weight data logged through my Fitbit, and a big part of the motivation for me was seeing those long-term trends. When the update rolled out, I noticed the same issue where anything beyond the past couple of years seemed to vanish from the app view.

From what I’ve gathered, the data may still be stored in your account, but the new interface isn’t pulling the older entries properly. A workaround I tried was exporting my full data set through Fitbit’s data export tool and then using a third-party tracker to view the trends. One option I’ve found useful is Aspedan, which lets you upload historical data and then visualise it in a way that still shows the full picture over time. You can check it out on their website, it’s not a direct fix within Fitbit, but it helped me preserve and see my complete history without gaps.

Hopefully Fitbit pushes an update soon to restore this in-app, but until then, exporting your data and using a visualisation tool is the best way I’ve found to keep all those years of progress visible.
