I'm new to Fitbit and wonder what you guys think is the best way to track treadmill runs.
Now I used the Smart track on my Alta HR. It correctly logged my run but I can't add a distance which I would like to (I tried both the app and dashboard). So I deleted that exercise and manually logged one with the same steps, heart rate and duration but that seems a bit complicated.
Is it another, smarter, way to track treadmill runs?

I would not manually add. Just go with it.
Your stride is different on the treadmill then outside for one thing.
Manually added steps do not go towards challenges or Badges either.
