When is Fitbit going to support LG G7 ThinQ phones?

I recently purchased a Versa and I had to get a new phone.  I assumed that a standard, popular phone would be supported but based on my syncing issues and more research on your site, my LG G7 ThinQ, which is not new to the market, is not supported.  So what do I do with this $200 paperweight that I have only had a month?

Hi, I really do understand your frustation but there are some many Smartphones available that's hard for the Fitbit engineers to test them all, cause that's needed to be in the supported list. And no, I'm not working for Fitbit, just a user like you. Keep a close watch on these two sites to see whenever your device is in the list:

1. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315/?q=compatible&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1. On this site scroll down to Android devices and look for your device.

2. www.fitbit.com/devices. In the search bar of this site, type your device and see if it's supported.

Unfortunately @flblueeyes71  With android the is no set hardware standard, this means for some phones the Fitbit app needs to be customized for the specific phone. This process may take some time.

My suggestion would be to search the boards for your phone model and see what other users have discovered.

Since this is an Android issue I'm moving your post to the Android board.

I have searched the board.and everyone else is in the same boat. I think it is incredible that the 30 dollar trackers can seem to handle it but this 200 dollar paperweight cannot.  It is being returned and until Fitbit can get their crap together, I will be going with a competitor. Fitbit needs to change their advertising, says it works with Android, which it clearly does not.  Honestly, there were reports of problems back in August.  If I would have know that it had issues working with popular phones, I would have never purchased.  I have bought numerous trackers over the years and not one had an issue with any of my phones, even the cheap, crappy trackers.  Such a disappointment.

Please do your research first @flblueeyes71 even Garmin has a list of supported phones,  of which your phone is not on it.  It is simply too new to have been tested and troubleshooted

Sure, and that would explain the numerous posts on the Fitbit community back in August and the ones that are compatible are phones from 2014 based on comments.  As mentioned, there are a lot less expensive trackers that guarantee they will work with certain Android OSs and Bluetooth versions.  Fitbit should not be advertising that it works with all Android devices...period.
