When will the LG G7 be supported? It is very disappointing.

Hi everyone!

I think I fixed mine, or maybe it was just sheer luck, hope this helps.

I erased the devices on my LG G7 ThinQ and on the fitbit app (and also reinstalled it), reconnected from scratch to the WiFi and deactivated the bluetooth on my phone until the fitbit app asked me for it. Also followed most of the tips on several forums, and the settings ended up like this:

Fitbit app

General: Continuous synchronization, always connected

Advanced settings:  Automatic location

Phone settings

App info: Permits: storage, camera, contacts, sms, location and phone, Battery: Exceptions>excluded

And so, I started over with adding a new device following the steps of the app. The update of the versa failed once, then I insisted maybe 5 more times for it to reconnect until it finally did, then another hour-and-a-half for it to make the update again and this time it worked.

So far, I've been able to receive the notifications I've programmed and it's syncing automatically, I haven't tried to sync music, but my boyfriend has a OnePlus 6 (that's listed as compatible here https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315 ) and it doesn't, so I don't have high hopes.

I hope this also works for someone, just take into consideration that you're gonna need like 2-3 hours and lots of patience.

Fitbit will NEVER support the LG G7 phone. They don't have the competence
to manage something so technical. That being said, the Versa 2 "will" pair
up and work on a G7 with the catch that it doesn't like sharing the phone
with other Bluetooth devices. So it will work with the G7 but on occasion,
you may have to restart your phone's Bluetooth services and/or restart the
phone to get the Versa 2 to connect. I've also noticed the Versa 2 has poor
power control and has a difficult time connection when below 30% power. So
its also advisable to recharge before it drops below that 30% power level.

There are better options out there for smartwatches, the Versa 2 is now old
tech, and I would not buy it at this point.
