I lost my Inspire 2 a few days ago so ordered version 3, which arrived within the day. However, I couldn't log into my account. The retrieval system simply wouldn't send a reset from my online account or mobile app. I eventually gave in to signing in with my gmail, but there isn't any of my history in it.
How do I get my history back?
How do I access my original account if the reset isn't working?

Without any mention of steps that was tired. I'm using clues.
You say that you could not log into your old account, so you created a second account.
As the page you link to requests. Have you logged out of your Google email account. (or did you create a Google log in)
Once logged out, we can work on logging into your main account.
