I only use my Ionic for for sleeping readings and heart rate recording. We all know bluetooth sincing does that well. And I " type " in body weight and fat rating. . For goodness sake I don't to be on line for that nor do I need to show where I spend the night. ( location) Please explane !!

Currently, the only way to avoid the pop up request is having Allow Location Access set to 'Always'. These permissions are a requirement for Fitbit to access some features and connect with your phone.

Best Answer@SunsetRunner android now requires location services to be enabled for your tracker to sync. You will find the the case with every brand of trackers. I also have to enable location services to install smart lights.
Best AnswerNone of your fitbit data is stored on your phone @SunsetRunner Everything is stored in the cloud services. this is why you can view your updated data through the app and web
