I've just started using the food logging features, and after less than I week, I've had to reset my app a half dozen times because the "cal out" reading stops synchronising correctly. On the "today" feature, I can see "energy burned" correctly, but under Food, the "cal out" number often stopped updating - and therefore tells you that you are OVER BUDGET when you are not.
This is a dangerous bug that could prevent people from eating enough!
I can see that people have been having this problem for ages - This thread (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Calorie-burned-doesn-t-match-with-calories-out/td-p/5668...) goes back a while - and now it's locked.
When will something be done about this?

Hello. Is there a better way to report issues?

Hi @pbaines I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for your issue. Food logging doesn't require Premium. You can give feedback directly to Fitbit in the Fitbit app. Tap on your profile picture, then Send feedback.

@LZeeW Thanks for that. Maybe I'll get a useful response. Saying that, as a Premium subscriber, I still expect non-premium features to work as intended. This bug is very annoying and misleading when you are watching what you eat.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This has been a thing for a month at least. Did you happen to track a workout manually today? It only seems to stop working when I do that through my watch.
edit - saw your post - since sept 2024 lol

This issue has been ongoing for me since start of the year. At least once a day I have to clear cache/force close the app. Shouldn't have to.

Are you saying that the calorie out under food does not increase as you burn calories?

As best as I can tell, this is the exact issue for me:
When I use the track an activity on my watch and go for a run, it stops updating calories out on the Food page, but not the main front page. I'll try and get screenshots of it next time it happens but these are the pages I'm referring to:
vvv This one updates normally, calories in, calories out, etc. vvv
vvv This one NORMALLY updates with my "left in your budget" amount up until I go for a run that day (doing a manual activity on my watch) and then it just stops updating that "left in your budget" amount. I'm still able to add food in and it still manages to add that up, it's just the calories out that **ahem**s up vvv
This is on a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and a Google Pixel Watch 3.
To answer your question Rich_Laue it does not increase as I burn calories a) under the food tile but not the main screen and b) only after I do a tracked workout.
