Why don't these sync with LG phones? Is there a work-around app I can use?

So I have a brand new Versa and a brand new LG G7 phone. I've read that they won't sync with LG phones, so is my Versa basically a useless device? Is there a work around app I can use?

I have same problem. I have a Huawei P20 Pro and the app won't sync with my versa. To top it off, I had a temp watch face that no won't work either. Now it's a nice bracelet
