Widget displays Launch the app to refresh activity data Samsung Galaxy S21

There have been several posts on this topic but none adequately addressed by the Fitbit team as of yet.  Since upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S8 to the S21, the fitibit widget states "Launch the app to refresh activity data".  The app syncs but the Widget never shows the step count like it used to.  I've tried the troubleshooting steps in the other posts, clearing the cash deleted and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone etc.  I have not been able to get it to work.  I've seen several other posts of people having the same issue specifically with the S21 (which does not have an SD card, so that's not it).

I have and Ionic and a Flex.  Both sync fine to the app so I really don't think the issue is with the Fitbit device.  It definitely appears to be related to the S21 or perhaps it's OS which is Android Version 11 with the 3/1/21 security patch and UI version 3.1.

Can someone from Fitbit test this in a similar environment and not just suggest random comments about deleting and re-installing the app?

Yes their are several threads, because the android widget currently is not working with any android phone.

You may need to contact fitbit if you would like fitbit to respond. Otherwise a response most likely will come from a community user.

Thank you. The widget still works with my S8, but I'm trading that in so
that doesn't help much. I appreciate the response. Didn't realize it was
all Samsungs.

I don't think it is all Samsungs. It has to be the S21 line. I moved from a S9+ today. Worked fine on the old phone, now does not on the new one.
