I've seen a similar post marked "Answered", but it's not answered for me.
A couple of weeks ago, this all started. The widget shows 0 or a number like 7 steps. Click on it to open the app, and you see the correct number of steps - the app is correctly synching to the fitbit. When you exit, the widget still shows 7 steps. So somehow with a recent update, the widget isn't getting the data from the app.
Pixel 6, June 2022 security update. Fitbit app version 3.62 which is very recent. Charge 5 (though this has nothing to do with the issue). Battery usage set to "optimized", though I tried "unrestricted" with no luck.
