I assume you have tried restarting your fitbit. How many times did you try? Unfortunately the restart doesn't always work so it's recommended to try it at least 3 times.
You've probably tried all the other troubleshooting steps suggested in the following article but just in case...

This seems to be a wide spread andriod issue. I'm unalbe to try the reset on the fitbit because I don't have access to my cord at the moment. I'm really not sure what that will do to make it sync with the app since it seems to be the update that is the issue, but it's worth the try.
