I have an irregular heart beat at times. PAC, 1 strong beat, 2 softer beats, than a pause. Pretty common. My fitbit will not track my sleep patterns anymore. Did at first now it won't. I'm on my 2nd fitbit hoping it would get better. Sometimes through out the day, when I'm just sitting, my fitbit randomly can't find my heart beat. I've tried looser, tighter, different bands....help please!!

Hello @Felinefairy! Welcome to the Community.
I can see how this could be very frustrating.
Please keep in mind that the Fitbit trackers are not medical devices and as such they won't take conditions, or irregularities like you mentioned, into account. It is possible that your situation has happened more regularly and thus the Fitbit has failed to find your HR.
My suggestion would be to try and use the tracker with the HR sensor on the inside of your wrist, wearing it a bit tight. That could ensure that it has an easier time reading your HR.
Please let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions.

Hello @Felinefairy.
That sounds terrible.
Did you return the Fitbit? If not, please let me know so that we can see what other alternatives we could try.
Look forward to your reply.

I've been wearing a Fitbit for over years with great results... until a couple of months ago. I have CLL and two months ago my doc started me on a new drug to lower my WBC (which it is doing nicely). However, it also raised my HR about 20 points and gave me AFIB. That's when I started getting goofy or no sleep stats on my Fitbit. And the strange part is, I feel like I am getting good sleep.
I realize that the Fitbit isn't, technically, a medical device. My conclusion is that the Fitbit algorithm is not tuned to detect such conditions. I'm hoping that if enough people report this, Fitbit will look into it and figure-out whether we are indeed getting very poor sleep or the Fitbit is just not properly sensing our patterns.
Thanks!
