Wrong data syncing Pixel watch 2 and Pixel 6a

I've been using the watch and Fitbit for nearly two just fine. Today it's under-recorded my steps, not synced my exercise, and deleted my manually recorded exercise.

I've restarted both devices, but it's still wrong in the Fitbit app.

Any suggestions please?

Hello @Aitchvee

There is a known issue on the Fitbit side affecting data syncing between Fitbit devices and the app. I've seen several Moderator posts acknowledging the issue and saying that they are working on getting this problem resolved. It's a major issue affecting multiple Fitbit devices, including the Pixel Watches.

I understand the frustration. Like you, I'm dealing with the same problem and have watched my exercise data disappear in the app as I'm looking at it.

What I have noticed is that my weekly progress email report shows the correct number of days that I worked out. So, although I'm not seeing the data in the app, it is getting uploaded to my user account on the Fitbit servers, meaning there's no loss of my data.

At this point, there's no troubleshooting we can do since the issue is on the Fitbit side. The fix can't come soon enough for us all.

Edited to add: I've now added the exercise four times, and seen it deleted as I watched. This is proper rubbish!

Hi @RiekoC. Thank you very much for your reply, and for taking the time to explain what's going on. I guess everyone is noticing the problem in a slightly different way, but wow, how disruptive.

It's great that you've noticed the data is being uploaded, that's a relief at least.

Again, your help is much appreciated.

You're very welcome @Aitchvee

The recent issues have been majorly disruptive for so many users, including for the both of us.

Please keep checking periodically for both watch and Fitbit app updates, although there's a possibility that the team might be able to fix the syncing issue from the back end.
