Just been informed by Support that there is now another version, which I've just downloaded because ANYTHING has got to be better than 4.28!
I was on 4.28 since about 2 weeks ago, and had posted about activity recording not working, no the app was constantly telling me I'd done 'zero' exercise even if I'd done an hour workout. It would attempt to record walks but was always wrong (I'd walk for 2 hours and it would record a random time like '17 minutes' ), also manually adding or editing exercise did not work.
Let's see if the shiny new 4.28.1 fixes everything.....*holds breath* 😂, I'll report back for anyone interested!

Apparently their fix was to remove sleep stage tracking to premium 🤬

Oh no really? My sleep stages for last night are still there, so they won't be recorded tonight?
So far 4.28.1 has managed to accurately record a 52 minute walk earlier today.
The acid test will be my Monday morning workout!

Please do report back. I have one device I managed to pair to 4.28 using my chromebook, but the OS auto-updated, and now I have lost connection again.

Hello @Linz16
I, too, will be anxiously awaiting your report for your walk on Monday.

Hello@ashrobertsdrago ,
Sleep stage tracking doesn't require a premium subscription.

Did you not have any syncing problems with 4.28? My android stopped syncing my inspire 3 and wouldn't sync a new Charge 6. I went back to 4.26 which fixed things for now, but I figure they ef it up somehow by updating to 4.28.1 even though I've tried to disable automatic updates.

Still doesn't work.
Did a 50 minute workout this morning. I was encouraged to see the app HAD indeed recorded some activity. But only 29 minutes. (Since they started messing with the app last year it's often recorded random times like this).
I went to try to 'edit' the activity to 50 mins, but like the previous 2 versions, it appeared to 'save' it then in front of my eyes it reverted to 29 minutes. So frustrating. So 4.28.1 appears to have done nothing?

@Linz16 Thank you for the follow up. Not good news, but not surprising either. Not sure what the last four or five updates were supposed to do, but for my Fitbit One, they have been miserable fails. The tracker is working, but nothing on the app works outside of the current day, and even that is problematic at times, especially with synching. And both my One and my Android phone are on the current versions.

My tracker is considered 'old' but it still works fine, absolutely no issues with the tracker and I'd expect them to last a long time given the cost, we are being made to think that it is normal to throw things away every year and get the new model but I am not into Disposable Culture it is so wasteful, neither can I afford to do that financially!
It's all down to the app. It is just not fit for purpose anymore. I've also been blamed for my phone or Android OS not being up to date, but they are, and I repeat, the problem is with the App not the users!
I eventually got the app to record my workout this morning, as above I could not 'edit', I had to delete what the app had recorded incorrectly and manually enter a new activity event. It did save it but whether it will disappear again, who knows.
I might as well give up on the app and just write all my activities down in a paper diary, that's how many steps backwards we have taken since last September when all this nonsense began.

I received a notification that it did, and it was gone with the 10/25 update to the app. Now sleep stage tracking is back and the most recent version reported is 10/10, so my guess is that they walked the update back. Their response to my Play Store review was to pretend that I just had to restart the app. I wish I had taken screenshots
