I have tried everything I can think of, and my Zip just will not sync to the app. I've restarted the bluetooth, the phone, had the tracker sitting next to and on top of the phone, but it still refuses to sync. I've even removed and reinstalled the app - nothing.

Hi there @CSchuette, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I was reading you have tried to troubleshoot the syncing issues you are experiencing. In this case just as a matter of review I recommend the following post: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
Other alternative as a workaround I have found, since I been going through this with my phone due to is not compatible; is to turn Off the Bluetooth and force quit the app. Go back to the Fitbit app and it will display a red banner with an alert that your Bluetooth is Off. Tap the banner and it will ask for permission to turn On the Bluetooth again. Once you have done this, the app should start syncing automatically.
Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
