Hi, I'm using a Samsung galaxy A13 with ver. 4.11 of the app.
Until about 3 weeks ago I had the barcode scanner to add food, but it has vanished. Guessing I have an issue with phone settings, but am not aware of any that might have changed. Would appreciate some guidance as to where to start looking.

Hi, @, welcome to the community, I have the barcode reader working in the normal location on the Fitbit app (4.11) with my Pixel 8 Pro. May I suggest you have a look at the settings in your Fitbit app? From your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>permissions, ensure the camera is allowed (I usually allow all permissions to begin with & then disallow those I want to step by step to make sure I'm not affecting the performance of the app)
If this does not work try resetting the app. Sync the app>delete cache & storage>delete app>restart your phone>reload the Fitbit app>log in & if necessary re-pair your device with the app.

Having actioned your suggestions, sadly I'm still in the same position. Camera permission on, cache cleared, deleted app& reinstalled but still no joy.
Will persevere!

An epiphany at last!
Changing the food database from Ireland to UK brings back the barcode scanner.
