cannot connect a HR chest strap

I cannot connect a HR chest strap with Fitbit on my Google Pixel Watch 4. Google Gemini says that the watch is able to connect to a Bluetooth HR chest strap but Fitbit will not read the data.

The interaction between Google Pixel Watch 4 and Fitbit needs to be much better. Especially since you are forced to use Fitbit on this watch.

This help page (<-- click) lists the equipment and apps that are compatible with the Fitbit HR sharing feature as well as which ones have known issues. I don't recognize any chest straps in the list.

Thanks for letting me know.
I have a Garmin one ☹️ which is not compatible with my pixel watch 4.
Need to think about to buy a compatible one.

Hi @haddat - it's possible that the Fitbit latest app version no longer supports real time HR from the watch so may also not support external data anymore either, it would be a good idea to investigate first.

If it still works you may have to freeze further updates in case it also gets removed at a later date
