charge 2 not sinking with android and thus gps bike tracking is relatively useless

Dear Charge 2 forum participants,

I got the new charge 2 about 6 days ago.

Every time I go for a bike ride, I need to sync with my android phone to get the full benefits of the GPS tracking, e.g., distance and map of the route traveled. However, more than enough times in 6 days, the charge 2 plainly refuses to sync. I've tried restarting Bluetooth, restarting the phone, and combinations of the above... sometimes, I guess when the planets are aligned, the sync happens and things work the way they are supposed to, but the majority of the times no matter what... the sync doesn't happen... it's so annoying to the point that if I can't find a true and proven solution, I'll return the device.  It's not an issue with my Android phone as I've had the same issue with another perfectly working Android phone.

I'm assuming I'm writing to a charge 2 forum, however, I'd love to talk to a FITBIT expert, and have them take ownership and provide a fix. I am guessing I'm not the only one with this problem...

I'd appreciate your insights.

Does your phone have the 2.57.3 release of the Fitbit app?  I ask because a couple of folks in my company running club have Charge 2s and the all had problems with the previous 2.57.1 release.
