iPad and Samsung: radically different numbers in badges

My Charge 4 is synced with my iPad and with my Samsung phone. The iPad records reasonably accurate numbers (but not 100%) in the badges section where I can see aggregate general numbers, like the number of daily steps over 20,000 I have done over the year.

My iPad shows I have walked over 20,000 steps on 60 days for the eight months I have been using Fitbit (I did a manual count twice and got 58, but maybe I missed a couple of days). My Samsung shows 12 days, but a manual count shows the same as the iPad!

The Samsung has similar mismatches like this in other areas that are seriously under the real number. e.g. iPad 75 floors: thirty-six, 100 floors: nineteen, 200 floors: twice, 300: once. These numbers are accurate. Samsung has 75 floors: seven, 100 floors: four, 200 floors: not recorded (numbers over 200 and less than 300 are also not recorded, but are recorded in the iPad), 300 floors: once. This last number is the only accurate one in the Samsung; the others are ridiculously underrated.

Naturally I rely on my more accurate iPad. But why is the Samsung app so wrong?

Hey @PonchoPete,

I have a Samsung phone and noticed that there was an update last week.  I'm not suggesting that this is the reason why you're seeing such radically different numbers, but have you checked to see if your Samsung has a firmware update to download?  That may be part of your issue.  I would also check your Apple products for the same reason.

Hey DramaQueenDiva,

Yes, both my Samsung and my iPad are up to date. However, thanks for the suggestion!
