Ok this is very irritating.
only way to contact fitbit is via twitter.... i loathe twotter. Fitbit needs to start thinking of the health conscious. We here to get for not hangout on Twitter😠
Secondly i can't add a screen shot of the stupidity going on. Again fitbit did an update that completely stuffs up the fitbit.
Now all i get is some stupid notification that's never been there before about some notification service not running. I've tried disabling it. I've tried enabling it and all i get is the same message over and over and over and over.... restart the phone.... Its not the fudging phone... I'm tired of fitbit wanting me to restart my phone cos of some new upgrade that doesn't work.....! Why is it every time there's an update there is problems... is fitbit using kindergarten children as programmers....
I'M losing my ... let's just say mind....
Wife's fitbit also gone for a ball of "rhymes with fitbit" and isn't tracking her sleep anymore. Last week everything was fine. This week fitbit is about as useful as a hydrogen balloon paperweight!

Hi. Ok. The other day when i went in to the contact us setting it did not give email support function. Only the forum, twitter and one other i can't remember off hand.
Today i see suddenly there is an email icon. I promise you it was not there last week.
But i Will from now on use email support as i prefer the anonymity it gives. Thanks
I do apologize if i come across like a creation sometimes.
I have a bad habit of holding people to high standards.
I'm in the health industry in pre-hospital medicine, if i drop my standards people get slightly dead.... which tends to upset them and their families.
So I apologies for coming across harsh. Tiredness does get the better part of me at times. even though I'm tired i don't let the ball drop. that would be unfair to the patient and their families.
Peace

Hi there @SunsetRunner, my apologies for the late response and thank you for keep me posted regarding the notification error and about the sleep logs were presenting issues. I understand your feedback and I appreciate you have brought to my attention the email channel was not available. Rest assure if you contact our Support team they will be happy to help you too.
About the sleep logs were presenting incorrect time, we found it was an outage in this section of the app. Which, as you mentioned, affected other users too. Nonetheless our teams already resolved this issue, we know this is an important feature for our Fitbit Community. You can find more details here: Sleep Logs show '0 time asleep'.
See you around my friend and stay awesome!

Anyway try this it worked for me and this is an j honor 9 Oreo etc
1 Go To Settings on Your Phone
2 Go To App & Notification
3 All Apps
4 Scroll To Fitbit App
5 Permission Toggle All On
6 Notifications - Make sure Toggle Is On , Make sure Enabled Sync Is on
7 Go to Battery
8 Choose Launch
9 Make Sure Automatically Is Toggled Off , Make sure In Manage Manually Auto Launch , Secondary Launch ,Run In Background Are All Toggled On
10 See if notifications work , You May Need to Restart Your Phone Once , Also You Can Turn Of Notifications Dots , And For Toast Notifications In Status Bar , Worked for me , Have been Getting Notifications for The Past 5 Hours , No Red Warning About Service Not Running , Still a Bit Of Delay in Getting a Notification But Least It's Working , Try It See If It Woks For You

The notifications from my phone, an Asus ZenFone AR running Android 7.0, to my Versa worked just fine until I restarted my phone for something totally unrelated. Since then, I cannot get rid of the "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker." I've restarted the phone multiple times, and did a Shutdown and then powered back on the Versa.
More details about phone software: Android Security Patch Level: April 5, 2018. Software Information: WW_14.1600.1804.49_20180515
Another thing I've noticed is that in the Sleep log in the phone app, if you expand the graph, or click on the sleep records to see more details, each time you go back to the main Sleep display, it has duplicated the list of sleep records. Not actually, it's not like it is making copies of the records, it just appears to do so because the list just keeps getting longer...until you go all the way back to the app dashboard - then when you return to the Sleep page, it shows the correct number of sleep records.
Thanks!
PS - Fun Fact: as I was typing this post, I received a call, and guess what? It rang through on my Versa as well. However, texts that I received during this time did NOT show up on my Versa...so maybe this Notifications Server issue only affects SMS messages??

Hello, I saw your post after googling this error. Last time this happened I tried everything I could think of only to finally resetting my Fitbit device and going threw the very hard job of re-connecting it. It did fix it for about 2 week's till today. I saw the option to always stay connected threw the "my tracker is not receiving notification's tips" page. I know it will drain my Fitbit battery more, but for me it would be worth it. I don't completely understand how to do that though. That is the only thing I have not tried from all of that because as someone who is very good at computer's and technology the other thing's are more or less idea's I try by default as if there just common sense. Please if you have any idea's, please let me know I don't want to have to delete, and re-connect my Fitbit again! That was hard enough to do once, I can't do it many more time's. I NEED to fix this. I am working with the Fitbit 4 extra version, and a Motorola moto G7 power phone. If you have any tip's or advice please let me know. Thankyou. We fixed this problem once with someone else. I hope you can help me with tip's, and suggestion's. I would like to fix this issue once and for all for me. Thankyou.
