"Fitbit failed to start several times. Restore it by clearing history" message

I have a Charge 3 and this issue started around 2 weeks ago and has persisted until today.

Problem 1: So when I tried to open the app on my phone, it just shows the fitbit logo and then closes itself. After a few times, there comes a message " Fitbit failed to start several times. Restore it by clearing history?" If I choose yes, then the app will open. So far so good.

Problem 2: When it opens, everything is normal except the sleep score and oxygen variation section in the app disappear. I thought it was just an error and I reinstalled the app. After I reinstalled the app, everything goes back to normal. Sleep score and oxygen variation is back. All is good.

Problem 3: After a day, I can't open the app again. So it goes back to problem 1. So I ended up having to reinstall the app every day, which is a hassle.

Has anyone faced this problem before?

You should not need to reinstall. I suggest first clearing cache and force stop the app. Force stopping the app may be enough.

Try clearing the Fitbit app data if the above doesnt work.

Ok so clearing cache and force stopping the app didn't work. It still goes to problem 1.

Clearing app data works but then it goes to problem 2, where there is no more sleep score and oxygen variation. I'd then have to reinstall to get it back to normal.

I don't see any reason why sleep score and oxygen variation should disappear. It's so strange. 🤔
