"x pounds to go" despite being below goal weight

I'm very thankful to be in the position of being able to discover this problem but nonetheless it seems that Fitbit did not think through the presentation of the dashboard in situations where users are under their goal weight.

I am 1.7 pounds under my goal weight after having been exactly on my goal weight last week. When I was exactly on my goal weight the Fitbit dashboard recognized that I had achieved my goal and stated so in the dashboard. As I learn to adjust my new calorie intake, I am under goal slightly and now Fitbit is going back to presenting that as me having 1.7 pounds to go to meet my goal. In the dashboard this is presented identically as if I was 1.7 pounds above my goal. The dashboard makes no distinction between being under your goal weight or over your goal weight.

While I can understand a very limited situation where customers would actually be trying to gain weight, I have a hard time believing that that is any significant percentage of Fitbit users. The dashboard should consider the user to have met their goal if they are at or below their goal weight not just exactly on the precise number. There could be a setting to let Fitbit know that you are trying to gain weight if there is demand for using fitbit in that way.

This presentation in the dashboard occurs on both the website and the mobile app.

Hey @SunsetRunner very welcome to the Community! Smiley LOL I do understand you, I was trying to gain weight and I did it from 115lbs to 120lbs. I create a Food Plan in my Online Dashboard, but on the current weight I placed my 115lbs and in the "I want to weigh" option I placed 120lbs and instantly the food plan said: "You want to gain 20lbs". Try to follow the instructions on this article "Food Plan". However, let me share with you a couple of screenshots to show you how it looks:

1. Log into your Online Dashboard (fitbit.com)

2. Click on Food

3. Scroll down to Food Plan

4. Click on the arrow until you see Plan Summary

5. On Plan Summary 6. Click "Edit Plan

9. If you already had a food plan you can start a new goal there.

I hope this helps! Smiley Wink
