resting heart rate not accurate

I m a fitbit charge2 user..i'm really unsure of the resting heart rate measured recently. Prior my ivf, i exercised alot 2 weeks ago & heart rate kept increasing (normal 70 to 80). After ivf, i was mostly on bed rest & the heart rate drop to 67 today. How is that even possible? I wld think the results wld b reverse?

A very warm welcome to the Community @Uniquename.

First of all, congratulations on your IVF. I hope that everything goes absolutely great!

As for your HR, if you have been in bed and have avoided stress it is reasonable to think that your HR  could be reduced. If you have been taking something to calm your nerves or some sort of similar medicine the HR could also be reduced because the body is no longer working as hard and thus it doesn't need to push your heart that hard.

Having said that, I'd always recommend making sure the HR sensor is clean by using a damp piece of cloth to wipe it and then a dry cloth to remove any water that could remain. Additionally, tightening the wrist should improve the HR reading quite a bit. Give that a shot to see if you get an improved reading.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
