Hi there @JimEd, welcome to our Fitbit Community! The Samsung Galaxy Tab A has all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but is currently not on our list of supported devices. This means that we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet.
Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list for the users have more options to sync. However as moderators we do not have the details of when a device is going to be listed as compatible if is supported.
If your device isn't listed yet, you can check this link at a later date to see if device support has been added, so keep an eye open for updates. Keep in mind you can sync in the meantime via a device listed as supported or using a computer.
See you later and stay tuned to the Community!

Hi there @Deedeep1, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community and my apologies for the late response.
Is true this device is not compatible, however is not an statement that it won't work. The difference here is that we cannot guarantee the functionality of the app and tracker/ watch features. As is prone this unexpected behaviors suddenly appear from time to time.
If you are still having troubles to sync, I would like to suggest to review our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? I'm sure this will give you some extra help, in case the issue persists.
See you until the next opportunity.
