Did you mean:

why does the fitbit charge 5 gps sucks so much?

i am totally frustrated with fitbit charge 5 gps

1. problem number 1: the dynamic GPS just simply isn't good.

during the run when there is some kind of phone gps momentary disconnection  (or tracker -> phone momentary disconnection, i don't know which), it stops logging the map positions mid run, and you are finishing the run with only half run documented on map

so i stopped using my phone GPS to solve this issue (switched from dinamic mode to on device GPS mode)....

i mean, if there isn't any phone <-> tracker communication, there cannot simply be any issues....

you'd think....

2. problem number 2: the watch GPS is just terrible

when comparing same runs, first using phone GPS (with strava for example) then looking at the same exact run using watch GPS, you notice clearly that the tracker GPS is simply not accurate as the phone, but hey, at least it mittigates the first problem, right.... RIGHT?!?!?

no.... it doesn't, which leads me to issue number three

3. problem number 3: sometimes, GPS data, when using tracker GPS, is simply not saved.

although GPS clearly shows it is connected on the tracker, and i started to run AFTER it got connected (created a new run activity, waited for GPS to say it is connected, then pressed "START" button)

although i finished the run, and the activity worked up until the last second (and documented everything else...) the location data is simply not saved!

in fact, i only noticed it when strava didn't get synced with this activity (it only syncs activities with location data) so i digged into it and saw that on the actual fitbig loged activity there is absolutely no location data saved, WTF!?!?!

clearly, you don't know how to do your job

i wouldn't recommend this tracker to anyone i know

all of the above issues fall into one of two categories:

1. can be mitigated by better software quality ( problems 1 & 3)

2. can be improved by better hardware

clearly, you don't care about both!

i mean, jesus!!!!! i get it, you got crappy GPS installed on device, ok, that you can't fix with update patch

but why not fixed first two issues?

this is simply not a good product

and you don't even bother to improve what you can after the fact, once you already sold it to people, which makes you not such a good company

i'm clearly disappointed here

and i'm past the point of hoping you would fix these issues (i saw similar issues popping the last few years...)

copying this text to my facebook/twitter accounts so other people will not get disappointed like me

thanks for convincing me to invest a little more next time and maybe get an apple watch or a garmin that are actually good

It looks like fitbit has no response? I have just started training for a 10k and hoped to use the run track feature. But after my 2.5 miles it says I only went .33. So frustrating.
