The scales display suddenly very dim. can hardly see!

What have I done?

Replaced batteries and cleaned contacts.

Any help appreciated.

 

NB - Scales firmware version 39 according to profile.

I am experiencing the same. The “Hi” is very bright and then fades to so dim I cannot read it. I’m not sure what to try to fix it.
