Please help team!

I set up my Aria and got on it this morning however it only showed me my weight and none of the other measurments that its meant to. I was bare foot and the Aria was on a hard flat surface.

I have taken the battery out and put it back in but it just keeps showing my weight and nil else.

Please advise.......bit upset. thank you

Thaleia6 I couldn’t agree more. By ignoring fixes like this, they’re missing the opportunity to remain relevant.

Best Answer

Yes . I have already purchased Different scale from a different company because of the lack of response from fitbit.

Best Answer
Can I ask what you bought and if you’re happy with it? I’ve looked at others but none seem to get great reviews, so far.
Thx

Hey there. It's called a FitTrack. I liked it because it also syncs my fitbit information... But not through fitbit. They have their own app. It also can determine your Hydration level. So far I have had no issues with it and it seems really accurate. Their customer service has been very responsive with all of my questions and they usually include instructions and how - to's. Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device

Thanks. Comical that we’re having this discussion through the Fitbit chat forum!

Absolutely!  I don't think that they check on these forums anyway - seems easier for them to ignore that their Aria has issues rather than take care of the customer.  I would have expected something more from them by now.  Oh well. 🙂 FitTrack has been really good to me.  Hopefully you will like it too. It was also less expensive than the ARIA and since it paired with the FitBit It was a good fit.

So how do you turn bmi option on I couldnt find it on app

Best Answer

My fitbit aria does the same as others. Shows weight and syncs weight but does not show body fat.

It comes with BF? And does nothing and app shows dash.

I have tried all reset, batteries reconnect etc.

Really like this resolved or it's pointless having it as an expensive weighing scale.

Hi, this is how I fixed mine:

The problem is that there is some grease or saline residues between the left and right sides, so this bridge is giving a bad resistance measure to the scale.

It is not enough to clean the surface, I did it using different products but didn't work.

Use one of this razors or similar:

RazorUse some alcohol or window cleaner to lubricate and pass the razor multiple times through the "middle channel" this should eliminate every residue.

@JuanJoFitbit I have an Aria scale that measures my Body Fat just fine but not my wife's.  I've confirmed her height is correct and setup as far as I can tell the same.  I never noticed it but this has always happened for the 5 years we've had the scale.  Any suggestions in how to resolve besides pulling out batteries etc as over 5 years we have changed batteries multiple times and had the batteries out for a few days at times.

I noticed the same thing.  It was working for years, then quit measuring.  Seemed to be around the same time I logged in here at the website.

I was never able to get mine to work after that. I tried all of their tricks new batteries new location Etc. Unfortunately mine was just over one year old when it happened and the store couldn't take it back and Fitbit would not offer me anything to compensate me for buying another one. So I simply quit using it and I will not buy another scale from Fitbit

Agreed. I bought a Fit Track instead based on another users recommendation and it’s been fantastic.

It was too much of a coincidence that my ARIA stopped working after I visited the Fitbit website.  I went back to the Fitbit website, change my birth year back to what it had been before and the ARIA started working again.  I guess they did not like it that I told them I was born in 1900.

All I get from them is that I need to get a new Aria. They never have answers about how to connect to wifi when the scale stops connecting, or what to do when you get erroneous weight or bmi.

It's been years that I've asked for help with connection my early generation Aria to wifi. It all of the sudden goes offline and it can take hours to fix it.

No - they will not give you a new Aria which works apparently pretty well. With the number of folks whose issues with the Aria, you would think FITBIT would stop shining us on and fix or exchange these loser scales with ones that work properly. I've read the support pages. They should too.

Mine has always shown, but since 2/5 it hasn't been syncing. Now after hours of work it is back syncing. However, my vmi is 49%! It won't recalibrate. The weight is correct.

I agree ! Mine was barely over 1 year old and I was offered a "discounted" new aria.
There was no way I was paying for another one and risking losing over $100.00 again. I sadly gave up and won't purchase another.

My ARIA scale quit showing my body fat after I changed my DOB to try to maintain privacy over personal information.  When I put in a fake DOB (January 1, 1900) , the body fat stopped working.  Changed it back, and everything works fine.  Shame Fitbit works that way.

Got the Arias Air couple weeks ago and JUST noticed that my BMI doesn't record either just a --% Fat. Changed my DOB, like you said, and changed back still not recording.
