Hi everyone
I’ve been struggling with my Aria scale for a while now.
I’m weighing myself every morning at the same time after I’ve showered and dried myself up.
I have to step on the scale quite a few times until I get 3 body fat readings in a row that are the same. I’ve also realised the first 2 times I weigh myself, the body fat percentage is usually the same, but from the third time it starts changing (today I had to weight myself 10 times till I got 3 consistent body fat readings in a row).
On top of this, the data sometimes massively changes on a daily basis. Example bodyweight/body fat readings in the last 4 days:
- Day 1: 64.7kg / 15.6% fat
- Day 2: 64.5kg / 16.2% fat
- Day 3: 62.4kg / 15.1% fat
- Day 4: 63.4kg / 16.2% fat
So, my questions are:
- Does anyone else have this problem (I’m assuming it’s a problem as the shift from Day 2 to Day 3, for example, is physically impossible)?
- Has anyone tried the Aria 2 and is it better when it comes to this sort of issue?
- Are Fitbit smart scales just generally too unreliable and, if so, are there others you’d recommend?
Also, I just want to make the point that I’m not saying I want the scale to be super accurate, as I know these things can only be accurate to a point. What I’m saying is that the problem lies in the readings being so wildly disparate from one day to the next.
Thanks in advance!
Manuel
