Was all working perfectly for a while, then kept getting intermittent sync problems, works one time, not the next

Trying to set up from scratch, get cant connect to wi-fi errors, no sync

Any idea ?

(my network is fine, it's just these scales that are not playing nicely)

@SunsetRunner It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is not connecting to your network. Please let me know the following details:

- What is the make and model of your router?

- Is your router running the protocol 802.11b and bandwidth 2.4GHz?

- Have you changed your WiFi password?

These details will help me to proceed and assist you accordingly.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

Why didn't it work when I changed the protocol to 802.11b? I have had weeks of runaround and no solution other than the recommendation to buy a new scale

The only other thing I did was use my PC to set it all up rather than Iphone

It's a convoluted set up, attach to device and then attach to your network

Tried to use iPad, iPhone and computer. Nothing works. Lots of time wasted!

Choose on your router: 2.4 GHz, protocol 802.11 b and channel 11, that works Smiley Happy

Oh I have tried that and much more. The scale is a built to break down after the warranty expires almost as if changing the batteries is a signal to break or there was a software update that made it break

How did you change the setting to   802.11b  ??

Did you do it on the router or on the computer ??

Thanks for your answer   🙂   smileyhappy:

I had to call my service provider and wait on hold for 20 minutes. They then talked me through the whole process step by step and that only took another 30 minutes. It was all wasted time because when I call Fitbit back they suggested that the sensors in the Aria must be the problem and I should just buy a new one since mine is out of warranty by 6 months.

It was on the router setup. It's been fine for a week or so now

Think the later model of the scales supports more protocols, but I don't really want to upgrade to be honest
